CreteScreed PU is a four-component polyurethane mortar designed to make a non-slip and extremely chemically resistant floor available in a wide range of colors.
CreteScreed PU is suitable in many different Industrial, commercial and institutional areas where safety, durability and hygiene levels are critical. Here are some common applications:
CreteScreed PU is best used when properly prepared and applied and so proper attention is needed while installing it. The general steps are:
Prepare the Surface:
The substrate as already mentioned has to be clean, dry and preferably untamed by oils, grease, dust etc and is mostly concrete. It may also be necessary to perform surface profiling to ascertain that the polyurethane mortar has adequate sticking ability.
Application:
The mixed mortar is then applied directly to the substrate, preferably by using a trowel or similar instruments in order to spread the mixture and obtain the thickness which is most advisable. This surface feature is developed by varying the size of the aggregate and its dispersion.
Curing:
After the second coat has been applied the floor is allowed to cure depending on the curing conditions which are temperature and humidity. This is the last stage for the floor, the time when it gains mechanical and chemical strength it will possess further.
Final Inspection:
Lastly, it is coated, and after the coating has been made to cure, it is normally examined for any blemish or problem. Depending on its intended use, it may be useful to apply a coat for the improvement of the finish’s performance.
